When you first meet Jeff O’Neill, 3 things come to mind: Confidence, Intelligence and Drive. And while hard work and dedication have paved the road to his many successes in the business world they will also serve to propel him into the racing world, where he hopes to leave his mark, both on and off the track.
Born in In 2000, Jeff won the Desoto County Mississippi Leadership 2000 award for creating initiatives that increased community awareness and charitable support. 2001 saw Jeff being presented with the Engineer of the Year award by Broadslate Networks and 2003 found Jeff being published in the Journal for
During this busy time in his career, Jeff found himself traveling the country for public speaking engagements, even going as far away as Dublin, Ireland, but he still found time to get married and start a family. And in 2004, at the age of 28, Jeff successfully started his own company which he merged and sold to a more established company a year later. But despite his successes in the business world, there was a restlessness in Jeff for something more. Something that would take him out from behind his desk and put him behind the wheel of a race car.
His chance to finally get behind the wheel of a race car came from former winning NASCAR driver Marshall Hurley. Mr. Hurley offered Jeff the opportunity to test a NASCAR Whelen Modified and see if Jeff really has what it takes to wheel a car around the track. With the test being deemed a great success by Mr. Hurley, Jeff decided it was time to bring his dream to reality. Jeff started Jeff O'Neill Racing, purchased a Late Model Stock car and begin his racing career in 2008 with his first start coming in the "DW" 75 at Thunderhill Raceway in Kyle Texas.
Being faced with the realities of his dream coming true has put Jeff in a unique position to further support others in the pursuit of their dreams. While he has always given back to his community through coaching little league, and supporting a multitude of charities ranging from St. Jude Children’s Hospital and the Make A Wish Foundation, to Victory Junction Gang Camp, Blue Santa and American Idol Gives Back, O’Neill Racing hopes to make even larger donations to these charities with his race winnings.
