Jeff O'Neill Racing Celebrates 1st NASCAR Win
Jeff O'Neill Racing recorded its first NASCAR win this past Saturday night at Thunderhill Raceway in Kyle Texas. In only his 3rd start in the NASCAR Pro Trucks driver Jeff O'Neill got his 1st win, “What a night, things could not have ended any better. The truck was great all day and all of the hard work we put into the truck leading up to the race really paid off. Our debut in the trucks hasn't been what I had hoped for that is for sure, getting in the wreck in the 1st race at Thunderhill and then having motor issues in Houston. For us to rebound this way is a great feeling and very gratifying. I would like to thank Wendi Duran my spotter and crew, Gunnar Frid your the best friend a guy could have! Hopefully this will be the first of many wins to come in the truck series.” Jeff O'Neill Racing will be back at the track on September 24th for the Texas Stock Car Spectacular at Thunderhill Raceway in Kyle, TX.
In July of this year the decision was made to change from the NASCAR TSRS Late Model's over to the NASCAR Pro Trucks. Team owner and driver Jeff O'Neill, " at this time this is the best thing for me to do as a team owner and driver. My ultimate goal is to race in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series so the move to a truck is a natural progression. The NASCAR TSRS Late Model Series is a great series and I have no regrets of running in that series for the past 3 years. We have made alot of good friends and learned alot in that series. Our plans are to take the rest of the 2011 season and use it as a long test session for 2012 when we will be running for the championship at Houston Motorsports Park and Thunderhill Raceway." 2010 Thunderhill Raceway / NASCAR TSRS Awards banquet
The 2010 Thunderhill Raceway / NASCAR TSRS Awards banquet was held Saturday night at in Austin Texas. The night ended up being a big night for the team and team owner/driver Jeff O’Neill. After receiving his award for finishing 5th in the season championship standings the team was surprised when the last award of the night was given out. The NASCAR TSRS Sportsman of the Year award was the last award given out at the event and to some it can be as special winning a championship. The is so special because of how the winner is chosen. The award is determined by a vote of the drivers peers and the staff and officials of the series.
“First off I want to thank Mary Ann and all of the THR/TSRS Staff and Officials for a great banquet!!! I would also like to thank everyone that voted for me for the Sportsman of the Year award. 3 years ago I began racing at Thunderhill and in that 3 years I have made friends with some of the best people I have ever met in my life. I am truly honored to have won this award tonight knowing that my peers are the ones that made it happen.
Secondly I would like to congratulate our 2010 Champion Bobby Teer Jr. and also 2010 Rookie of the Year Austin Self on great seasons. Bobby is not only a champion on the track but off as well. Every time I’ve gone to Bobby for either advice or help he and Mr. Spreen were always more than willing to help. Congrats to them both”, driver Jeff O’Neill
The 2011 NASCAR TSRS Late Model series is scheduled to start March 5th at Thunderhill Raceway in Kyle Texas. The team has its first test session of the season scheduled for Febuary 19th. The team will try to keep the momentum going coming off a great 2010 season with the added confidence of knowing they have earned respect of their great racing peers.

2011 Racing Season Begins March 5th - Thunderhill Raceway The 2011 racing season is scheuled to begin on March 5th at Thunderhill Raceway in Kyle Texas. New is 2011 will be the filming of a new reality based TV series that will focus on the family involvement in racing and how racing is truely a family sport.

"2010 was a great season, we ran in the top 5 most of the season and were able to finish 5th in the points standings. "Every year Kase 101 the country music station I listen to hosts a telethon for Make-A-Wish. This past year Jeff O'Neill Racing was able to donate enough to make 5 wishes come true, hopefully this year we will be able to blow that number out of the water. Yes the tshirts will help me race but they will also allow me do what I got into racing to do and that is give back to those who need it.
